Erection and Commissioning

Erection supervision and first-ore commissioning, ending in one signed sheet rather than a handshake.

On the pad 8–12 weeks on site, depending on the circuit

Capacity expansion Line upgrade New plant

How it runs

  1. Pre-erection survey

Walk the foundations and the structure against the revision before anything is landed on it.

  2. Erection supervision

Supervise erection, alignment and torque, working to the written sequence.

  3. Dry commissioning

Dry runs, interlock tests, belt tracking and chute trials with no ore.

  4. First ore

Run at the agreed capacity, record CSS, stroke and current, and sign the sheet.

  5. Handover

Hand the baseline to the wear desk so the first reline is planned, not reactive.

What is in it

  • A written assembly sequence, so the crew is never improvising at height
  • Alignment and torque records kept, not just taken
  • CSS and stroke set against the balance, not by feel
  • Wear baseline established on day one, which is what makes the first reline predictable

Deliverables

  • Alignment and torque records for every driven connection
  • Signed first-ore sheet: CSS, stroke and current per machine
  • Punch list closed out before demobilisation
  • Two shifts of operator training on the running plant
  • Wear baseline for the first six months

What the mine provides

Foundations complete and cured, power available at the MCC, water and dust suppression in place, the mine's erectors and lifting equipment on site, and a date when the ore is available for the first run.

How it is signed off

First-ore sheet signed at the agreed capacity with CSS, stroke and current recorded per machine. A plant that has not signed a sheet has not been commissioned.

Erection and commissioning is where a drawing set becomes a plant, and where most of the surprises in this industry happen: a chute that does not line up, a foundation that is 40 mm out, a starter panel that arrives without the interlocks.

Our crew supervises the mine’s erectors against the frozen revision, then runs the first ore. The first-ore sheet records the closed-side settings, the stroke, and the current draw per machine at the agreed capacity — one sheet, signed by both sides.

That sheet is the handover. It is also the baseline for the wear prediction, which is why it matters more than a completion certificate.

Send the rock, not the wish list.

A 200 kg sample and the product list you want to sell is enough for us to price a circuit. Without the sample we will tell you so rather than guess.
